SimulEYE Iris Prosthesis

The Technique

The Iris Prosthesis model, developed for the Human Optics Artificial Iris, allows implantation of a CTR and an IOL prior to folding and injecting the Artificial Iris. The nuances of folding, injecting, and successfully implanting the Artificial Iris can be practiced in a realistic setting to give the surgeon experience and greater confidence before live surgery.

The Iris Prosthesis Model

The Iris Prosthesis model provides an eye that is aniridic with an empty capsular bag that is ready to accept various iris prostheses. It was developed specifically with the Human Optics Artificial Iris in mind but can be used in conjunction with other similar devices to recreate the iris anatomy.
